The company has announced that the Penrose sawmill has not renewed its contract with the Forestry Corporation for the supply of logs beyond 30th June 2025.

As a result, the mill will be closing once all logs and timber have been processed and sold, expected to be towards the end of September 2025.

We are a dedicated, family owned business operating for over 80 years in the timber industry. Penrose Pine
Products was established by Frank Cush in 1939 during the Second World War.
During this time the sawmill produced wooden boxes for the storage and transportation of goods supporting the war effort.
Employing and training over 40 staff from the local and surrounding areas has seen many of our employees
become specialists in their field and contribute to the high quality standard and output of our business.
We support many local community organisations and businesses including contributions to the local Rural
Fire Service Auction. We are proud to support local schools with timber donations that they use to complete
various projects.
The environment is important to us and we take extra measures to ensure that our carbon footprint continues
to be reduced whilst ensuring our product is produced efficiently and sustainably.
As a business that is dedicated to providing the highest quality products, we constantly update our knowledge and implement new and effective processes.
Our Business
We deal with wholesalers, retailers, and industrial consumers. Unfortunately we do not deal with the public
directly, however if you are looking for details of stockists near you, we welcome you to get in touch with
our staff and who will be able to point you in the right direction.
Penrose Pine Products prides itself on being flexible and able to provide products that some of the bigger
mills may not be able to produce. We can do Custom Treating using either CCA (Copper chrome arsenate)
or LOSP (Light Organic Solvent Preservative).

Resources
Our stock is sourced from regenerating pine supplies such as Forest NSW and various private plantations. If
you have a commercial quantity of pines that you are wishing to harvest, please get in touch with us.
Product & Processing Range
We have a diverse range of processing equipment, enabling us to create specialty products to match your
requirements. We offer ISPM 15, Treated F7, W.A.T, Industrial, Landscaping, and Marine Grade.
Certifications
Penrose Pine Products are certified with the Australian Wood Packaging Certification Scheme (AWPCS)
and produce wood packaging that meets the ISPM 15 standard for heat treated wood packaging material.
